Roland Anthony Allen, 83, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026. Born on September 27, 1942, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, Roland lived a life defined by service, dedication, and deep Texas roots.
Roland proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force, retiring with honors. Following his military service, he relocated to San Angelo, Texas, in 1982 — a city that would become his true home for nearly four decades. There he built a distinguished career in automotive sales and service and later in real estate, serving with dedication for over 20 years and honored to serve as President of the San Angelo Association of Realtors. In 2019, Roland moved to Norman, Oklahoma, to be closer to his family.
Though originally from New England, Roland embraced the Texas lifestyle wholeheartedly — cowboy boots and blazers were his signature. A gifted craftsman, he built intricate miniature chuck wagons entirely by hand, a hobby that reflected his patience, precision, and deep appreciation for western tradition.
Roland is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Linda Allen; his
children Linda Glover and husband Jimmy, Lorrie Stanley and husband Joey, and Roland Allen and wife Ginger; his sister Janet Garner; his grandchildren Jeffery, Jennifer, Joanna, and Justin; and several great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a date and time to be announced.
Roland was a veteran of the United States Air Force and will be honored accordingly.
