Randall Doan Obituary

Randall “Randy” Franklin Doan, 69 years old, passed peacefullySeptember 11th, 2025, in his home in Norman, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family. Randy passed from unrecoverable conditions that occurred due to multiple strokes over the past year.

He was born on April 9th, 1956, in Lubbock, Texas to Ruby Russell. His childhood was filled with adventure – as he moved a lot growing up. Some of his fond memories include riding motorcycles around Lake Lyndon B. Johnson. He also enjoyed tinkering with machines – pulling them apart and putting them back together. Randy graduated from Richland High School in 1975.

Randy attended Texas Tech University then later transferred and graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 1980.

Randy met Lisa Mustian in 1987 when they lived in the same apartment complex in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. After manyyears of dating, they got married in 1997. Marriage with Randy was always an adventure.

Randy was an account executive for Wrangler for 33 years. He served the Atwoods account and often traveled to their stores across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. He enjoyed the connections he made with the people he worked with. Randy retired from Wrangler in 2019.

He enjoyed spending time in Lake City, Colorado over much of his life. He loved to spend time in the mountains. Summer and Fall were his favorite seasons to spend in Lake City. A perfect day in Colorado for Randy was taking his Jeep, motorcycle, or ATV on a trail with his family or friends.

Randy was most proud of his daughter, Emily. He was a dedicated father and never missed an orchestra concert or event for Emily throughout her childhood. He was most looking forward to celebrating her completion of Texas Christian University’s nurse anesthesia program this December.

Randy is survived by his wife, Lisa Doan; daughter, Emily Conneran; son-in-law, Matthew Conneran; sisters, CandaceTimmons and Valerie Adams; and brother Malcolm Doan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Doan.
