Marvin Lee “Pat” Rudkin was born on March 17, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to loving parents Jean and Frances Rudkin. Pat passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on February 28, 2025 in Perkins, Oklahoma.
Pat married the love of his life, Maxine Daisy Elledge on March 17, 1950 on his 18th birthday in Edmond, Oklahoma. Pat and Maxine shared a love that everyone dreams of and were side by side for almost 75 years. They had three daughters whom they loved immensely.
Pat worked in the construction field mainly working on schools and churches all over the state of Oklahoma. Pat served a short term in the U.S. Navy in 1952.
Pat is survived by his wife, Maxine, his three daughters Donna Wooden, Debbie Brooks (Bobby), and Vicky Mallory (Morris); sister Diane Cremer-Lees; grandchildren; Jeff Wooden (Dena), Colby Coker (Corie), Patrick Mallory (Lindsey), Ashley Smith (Jason), Jason Brooks (Heidi); twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; Pat is survived by many more loving family and friends.
Pat is preceded in death by his parents; Jean and Frances Rudkin; brothers; Bob, Don and Charles (Bud) Rudkin; son in law; James Thomas Wooden; granddaughter; Megan Brooks.
Pat enjoyed working on automobiles, restoring old cars and watching Nascar. He told the best jokes, had the biggest smile, loved his three musketeer bars and never met a stranger.
Pat adored his wife, Maxine, and would do quite literally anything for her. Although, dementia ultimately took his memory it could never take the love he had for his sweet Maxine and his family. The void of his absence will never be filled but, we are so thankful he was ours for so many years. To know Pat was to love him.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Companion Hospice and the staff at Red Bud Assisted Living Center in Perkins, Oklahoma. The love and care that they showed to Pat is unmatched and we are forever grateful.
A memorial service is pending at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to Companion Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association to help fight for a cure for Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
